Letter Styles and Mural Production

Francisco Aquino, Twick, will be teaching “Letter-style and Mural Production”. This class aims to raise awareness of graffiti art, establish respect for the culture, and be fun. The classroom will be a creative environment where students can build their esteem and confidence through artistic self-improvement. Students will learn graffiti letter-styles, backgrounds, effects, and color schemes. While practicing in their sketchbooks, Francisco will oversee and guide each student’s progress. The final session will be the class designing and painting a public mural in San Francisco.

Underground Comics and Character Development
Instructor: Mark Bode
In “Underground Comics and Character Development”, Mark will teach character design and development, story and plot development, and panel composition. This class will be hands on and easy even for those who have limited comic experience. Mark will lead a hands on interactive draw along in each class and give sketchbook assignments for review. In addition, Mark will shed some light on how to make it in the comics and art world and share some of his experiences.
